Conference predictions.

How about some predictions on how the conference's will finish this season. I'll start with mine on the SWF3A.
1. Crest
2. Hickory
3. Burns
4. St. Stephens
5. Fred T. Foard
6. Kings Mountain
7. RS Central

Crest should still be the best especially after tough non-conference challenges against South Point, West Charlotte, and Marlboro County. After Burns the talent kinda dries up. St. Stephens is in 4th place as the best of the "weak" teams. From all the troubles I heard KM is having I think Foard will shock the world and win 2 conference games this season. And poor Central has another tough year along with the losses Alexander Central and Central Cabarrus should have this year, it doesn't look like a good idea to have Central in the school name.

I think we really need to wait a few games into the season before we can really make a accurate guess. Its gonna be interesting to see how Crest and Burns and Hickoary all play. But for now I would say

Where do I start? I may be wrong but I do not think the Burns-Crest game will have as much hype to it as last year. Why you may ask? I am not real sure. I do however believe outside of the playoffs, it will be the game to watch this season as well. I also am hearing that Burns is an upper 3A school due to all the new freshman - graduated 199 got in 350....kinda scary for the Bulldogs! Anyway now for Stat Boy's predictions:
1. Crest Chargers (regretfully and not without some trials and tribulations)
2. Burns Bulldogs (I think they have this locked up now)
3. Hickory Red Tornados (They could finish 4th if they dont show up every night)
4. Kings Mountain Mountaineers (They have a team that should finish around 6th but the rest of the conference is so weak)
5. St. Stephens Indians (Havent heard much; they could surprise me)
6. Fred T. Foard Tigers (Another show down for last place)
7. RS Central Hilltoppers (Rutherford Struggling Central)

aparently st stephens isnt too weak this year...they gave newton-conover a really good game last night...24-19...and i believe they had a chance to win but fumbled...so i think st stephens has a shot at beating km and claiming 4th! also foard suprisingly took it to west lincoln last night beating them 30-13..now granted i dont know much about west lincoln, am sure that they arent burns or crest caliber team, but foard showed a little talent obviosly! the rest i agree with though!!

ps...stat boy? are you who i think you are? from last year?
