15 penalties hurt pretty bad..
South had a big strong D line and it was hard to move the ball.
South averaged about 7 or 8 yds per down.

all in all it wasnt a bad game for 2 weeks of practice.
Andrew Baker didnt play for K-Town due to a car accident and will miss next weeks game also.

i think 2 Ktown td's were called back . some of the calls looked to be home cooking calls , but we still lost.. it's only the 2nd time in 20 years SR has beat Kannapolis.

A.L. Brown will be very good before the season is over, but Coach Massey said earlier in the week that he expected some rough spots because of the early start this year, just not enough time to do everything he wants. South may be pretty good too.

I was at the game last night. S. Rowan came out smokin' and built a 16-0 lead. Kannapolis fought back but then S. Rowan scored with seconds remaining in the half and again in the third quarter to push the score to 30-13. Kannapolis again fought back to tie with under a minute to play. The kickers decided this game, not the refs. There were questionable calls on both sides of the ball, I guess it all depends on how you're lookin' at it. Kannapolis just has some real studs, playmakers that can go the distance at any time and place on the field. But it appears to me that 90% of thier talent is on offense as thier corners and safties got scorched all night, mostly failing to make tackles at the point of attack and downfield. If the Wonder defense ever comes together this team will be very dangerous. Congrats to S. Rowan for slaying the ghost of demons past, I'll bet they whooped it up real good after the game.

I think the entire Kannapolis defense and the coaches have to take the blame for this loss.When you give up 37 points you are not going to win many games.The defense has to improve or it is going to be a long season for the Wonders.
