View Full Version : Road geeks
I remember a road geek or two around here. So this is our thread, dammit.
So what's the latest? The only thing up here around the university is that they'll be widening all kinds of things and 485 will be connecting "by 2003" but late in the year.

The bandwidth to my house increases mightily when I cross the state line - 4 lanes, 60mph, north and south.
They're widening Gold Hill Road, so if you going to Tega Cay, be wary.
they're about to put signs up for whatever City Blvd is.
Signs are up for that damn thing and I imagine they'll open it soon. Looks like all the bridges over 485 are up except one, leaving just one major gradng project and an assload of paving left.

I think City Blvd stops at a neighborhood over by Vance High School so far. I thick it is going to eventually go all the way to that new road over by davis Lake on Harris.
So it's already open in spots?
There is actually a street named City blvd?
yep. I saw in one of the papers that it would be called University City Blvd in certain spots but that makes no sense, being as how that's 49 past the connector. I don't see the new road being able to connect at that spot, but I don't know where it'd connect anyway.
damn civil engineers
