This weekend, I'm gonna take the Webster closet door off, finish the edge in smooth drywall and compound, and replace the door with concealed hinges, plywood, and a latch that will open and close the door simply by pushing on it.

Gonna try to repaint the guest bedroom, and paint the ceiling of the green room back white, add sconces to the wall and replace the mirror. Should be swell by the time the party rolls around on the 4th. My neighbors hate me. :D

Wait til I get done upstairs. I'm gonna make a Chocolate colored duvet for the back bedroom that is painted a sand color and chocolate curtains to cover the window. Downstairs, I'm gonna add some gauzey curtains to the French doors that will flutter in the breeze. :)

Nice going Builder! You would have a years worth of work if you came to my house - :worried:. I still haven't done the painting that you suggested when I moved in here! I was all reved up, ready to go - but got scared (I've never painted anything other than my toenails before - I thought the house might be too big a project to start on :( ).

It's mustard. Two other walls are orange (ala Home Depot) and another is red in the living/dining room. The kitchen is blue and the hallway & staircase is dark gray. The powder room is bright green and the bathroom upstairs is a soft jade. The two bedrooms are sand colored and grey/blue. I'm thinking of repainting everything white. :)

I think it's just too busy now. I wanna go back to minimalism. And I'm gonna get new furniture around Christmas. I don't want to have to match my new sofa to that.

True. And with the colors you have now you will have to prime and go back to white to make any other colors you might decide to paint with come out true.

It's either white, and I mean stark white, or grey. I may keep the hallway and the bedrooms, but downstairs I'm thinking very very neutral. Red is my favorite color but I'm really starting to hate that wall.

I have started repainting in my house. I am going with very very pale versions of the colors I choose. Almost white with just a hint of color.
