When I open a new window, the scroll bar takes me all the way to the bottom of the page and back up again before it will let me take control of it. It does it everytime I open up the smilies window and occasionally when I open threads, etc. Any ideas?

Grab a hold of your bar and show it who is the boss!:D

I've never heard of it referred to as a 'scrollbar' before.
I have, however, heard of one having a mind of it's own.

Go to "Tools" and then "Internet options". Under the "Advanced" tab scroll down to the "browsing" section. Be sure the "use smooth scrolling" box is checked. If that doesn't fix it, I don't know what it's doing.

Lol! It has many names, does it not? A mind of it's own--absolutely! I wonder if I use "Tools" on it as PantherMills suggests--would that be like turning it on itself?!?!

Thanks for the help PantherMills--that box was already checked, though. I like your screenname--my favorite Panther is Sam Mills. Wish he was back on the field. I know, I know--wrong forum! :D
