Firewalls

I have security concerns using Morpheus and the number of uploads I have. Could someone explain how to set up a firewall?

i think you'll have to buy a firewall if you want one. black ice defender is a common, inexpensicve solution. i think norton also has one.

just download Black Ice Defender off of Morpheus... I know that's ironic... but that's all it takes

You can get a firewall device, too, like a Netgear RT314. I got one so I could have my PC, server, and business laptop online at home.

Norton's is ok but I'd still recommend Black Ice First

I've heard ZoneAlarm is better than Black Ice Defender. This is according to Steve Gibson of www.grc.com. I think Black Ice can be flooded and it'll let things slip through or something.

His site also hads a simple test to see how secure your machine is. Basically, it'll try to break in and see what it can find and tell you how successful it was.

I had black ice last year but ended up taking it off my computer. It let something get through and it flooded my computer. It took me all day to clear out my cashe of over 4000 folders in it. I use zonealarm and it seems to do a good job.

here's a question... after you installed black ice did you then go to their website and also install all the updates?? because if you didn't it was useless even installing it to start... any program can eventually be cracked its a matter of updating it to keep the chance of it happening down
