I was at a hs game this afternoon at Atlantic Shores Christian School in VA between Steward School from VA and Manteo of NC.

Small crowd, small gym but I got to shake Lefty's hand. Said he is living there in his hometown. He is looking great. What a legend. Hope this is no offense to his privacy, but he is really looking good.

I met him one time when I was in college and he was at Maryland.
Then I met him again when he was coaching in Atlanta a few years ago....he never changed...quick wit, charming and loyal...and quite a character!

I met him at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill during a West Rowan/Parkland championship game. A real class act. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i havent had the pleasure to meet Lefty but admired him for decades both live and on the tv. Great coach.......period!
