I want to know how to transfer an image, per se, from my scanner
to email, from email to website, from scanner to website, and from
website to website; any one or combination of stated tasks.
I have Windows 98, 2nd ed.

I'd like a book that shows and tells in simple language exactly how this stuff is done.

Please help the technologically challenged.

It's not hard at all. your scanner is probably saving scans as BMP or TIF files check your scanning software and see if it will save scans as jpeg or gif files. if not then you have to convert bmp and tif files to either jpeg or gif with another application like irfan or paintshop pro. Actually you don't even have to conver them but it makes the size of your emails alot smaller and will make send and recieving those emails a lot faster.

Once you have the files made all you have to do is compose your email and use the attach feature to attach the files to your email. If your using outlook express for email you'll see the attach icon on the toolbar. Just click attach and a the standard windows browse window will come up and you go to the directory that your scan files are in and click the file that you want to send and it will be attached to the email, another bar will appear in your email window with the attachment listed. Once you've added all your attachments just send the email the way you normally do.

One way of transfering images, etc. to websites is via an FTP connection, but you'd have to use whatever method your web site host dictates.

I appreciate your instructions.
But, to me, you guys are "speaking in tongues."
I have some knowledge of the situation/task; but, it's
like knowing words and not having the ability to formulate
sentences or thoughts. i.e. Not able to put information in
order, to perform the function. :)
