Okay, I'm a little disconcerted...

I've gotten two recent e-mails that popped up "open with" dialogs even though I didn't ask to open the attachments. It may be a bad setting on my part, but I don't think so. Is there some new leak in MS Security?

Those would probably be emails with the Klez virus. For the love of Pete, get some virus protection, Nut!

Had a whole slew of those come to me in the last 2 weeks, mostly from people I didn't know, and mostly from people with a well-know domain (i.e. hotmail.com, aol.com).

These seem to be different. They open without me doing anything. Before, it would ask me if I wanted to save or open and I would just cancel. Now it just goes ahead and opens them.

I think maybe my outlook got tweaked from my recent run-in... I just did a windows update, so maybe that fixed whatever hole they were driving that truck through...

If you can, upgrade to Outlook 2002 (XP Version). Never had any more problems with viruses, and we get hit often.

That's good to do too. And thanks for the reminder. Need to do that myself.
