I didn't get to see the first night, and everyone I talked to said it was awesome. Last night's finals were not very good at all. Both the third place game and the championship looked like the teams were flat.

Laurinburg played a triangle and two, but allowed Oak Hill to shoot uncontested threes all night. Nobody even ran out at the shooter. Oak HIll even delayed at times to try to get Laurinburg to play man. But they wouldn't come out of it and the crowd started booing Oak Hill. Oak Hill resembled themselves for only one 2 min stretch during the 4th qtr. They flew down the court and slammed it home three straight times including one where the pass was off the backboard for the dunk.

Josh Smith said to reporters here that he will decide next month. I'm guessing I saw him on an off night. He looked like he would benefit from going to Indiana for at least a year or two. 15pts 7reb 5blk, but he did very little. They played a triangle and two with him guarded by one, and he didn't move without the ball at all. He scored his points in transition and 7 came from the free throw line. They did collapse on him when he got the ball, but he didn't do enough to get into open areas without the ball. Obviously Mike Davis in attendance shows he's trying to pursuade the decision.

About 1500 in attendance, maybe.
