i hit a few straights and went all in with 2k. prof matched me with 2k and i'm not sure he really wanted to.

got a nice run of hands and once you've got money, it's a lot easier to play.

vg was unclear on side pot rules, so for those that are wondering....

if somebody goes all in, they can't bet anymore cuz they've got no more chips on the table. any additional bets by other players are put into a side pot. only people that contributed to a pot can win that pot, so if the guy that went all in had the best hand, he could only win the main pot. the other pot would be won by the best hand of the other players who contributed to it.

and you can of course win all pots if you've got the best hand and put money in all pots.

the pot splitting is automatic on the server, so you just bet and it figures it out for you.

had 8 and 9 of diamonds and up comes queen, ace and jack of diamonds. instant flush. then comes the king of diamonds. and then the 10 of diamonds.

royal on the table and i had the 8 and 9 leading up to it. split the fucking pot. god damned 10.

That's the way it goes in real life also. If the best hand are the flopped cards...then everyone who stayed in upto and including the river card...gets an equal share of the pot. Riverdya...lol.
