Okay, here we go. The defending state champs Fayetteville 71st, will be taking on the Lady Titans of McDowell. This is McDowell's first championship game since 1999. I thought it would be cool to start a thread posting information concerning 71st since most everybody in the west dosen't know anything about the Lady Falcons. I found the following article on the Fayetteville Observer website talking about 71st win in the east regional final, and focusing on their star player, LaToya Pringle. Anybody who comes across additional info, feel free to post.

I know that Pringle is ranked as a prospect, I will find out exactly what number. Chante Black was ranked 13th in the country and Laquita Owens 59th. What I wonder is how tall she is and also how is their overall quickness? If they are not as quick as Garinger, maybe we can get them in a running game. That tends to work on the centers, but as we all know, you have to rebound to be able to push up the floor. If McDowell continues to fire on all cylinders, I believe they will be OK. If they are as quick as Garinger, we will have to do a better job handling the ball.

the all star girls report has her at 6' 3" and a top 50 recruit commited to North Carolina for next year. Ah hell, we've played a future Blue Devil, might as well beat a future Tarheel too... :laugh1:

My cousin is a teacher at Western Harnett and they just played 71st over the weekend. He described Pringle as the female version of Tim Duncan. He said she wasn't fancy or anything but gets the job done. She finished that game with 16 points, 21 rebounds, and 12 blocks. He said they got a quick guard too. But she was all the talk when it came to their team.
