I need the names of some colors. Reds, greens & grays and other interrior colors for kitchen, dining room & living room. I'm too busy and second guessing to start from scratch. I know somebody here has recently painted and remembers the some names of colors they liked.

Go to Lowes. Alexander Julian is a good start.

I read that the designer paint brands are of low quality because they buy the rejects from the main brands. But if you have first hand experience with it I suppose that is more important.
Builder, you posted some pics of the red you painted at your place. You still have those?

I don't think I have the resources for leather walls right now but I will keep it in mind.

Sure, let me know which color you want, so I can make sure he gets the most effective food to provide it....

Yeah...but now it's purple and grey. :D
There were some great blues that I looked at this past week. But after a long haggle with her, I ended up deciding on Scotland Road, a deep but not dark light green/blue. That or another similar color could knock out your green, it's not "too green".
Just go to Home Depot and look at some samples. Pick out a couple that you like. It's not hard.
I still say I like that red. Not for the living room, but I think we can find somewhere for it. Maybe in the room where I keep her locked up at night.

It was like living in a box of crayons. Here's what I have now. Much more sophisticated. That red would be a great dining room color if it were 1999 again.
I see a picture of clasped hands being thrown over one's head on the couch in that picture posted above

Didn't like the red? I'm thinking a red for the kitchen and/or dining room.
I just have a hard time visualizing what a sample will look like in a room. Those color visualizers are useless, it's easier to see what someone has. I also find it hard to look at a color in a room and then find it's equivalant at the paint store.

What do you mean by that?
I have some ideas for that wall. I need artwork in a bad way. I dont want to be all Queer Eye and use blocks of color. I want a HUGE mixed media thing.

The red in my room will be different than in your room depending on the orientation to the sun, lighting, etc. I have three french doors that face south. Any color is going to be severe.

I have no confidence in my "eye" for things but typically what I think I like is verified by my artistically inclined friends.

colors are hard cause everyone sees them differently. It takes a lot of learning and practice to get things right. It's why I have repainted my living room 3 times now in a year. But I think what I have now will stay a long time.
