I get very pessimistic regarding icons. A piece of this a piece of that. It is an icon. People who believe it is real will always believe. To try and prove it valid or invalid has the taste of trying to discredit someones belief or trying to justify one. Religion should not be about icons.

Me, too. With three separate carbon dating methods done on it, all placing it in the 15th century, it becomes a tough sell to place it in the first century.
