Got some off season news on the girls board...the word from Morganton today is that Coach Clint Loftin will not be coaching the Lady Patriots next year. The search for a new girls coach at Freedom begins...

He is a good coach. I hope he lands on his feet. Another example of community people running things their way. He's twice the coach as the last one they had. All she had was talent (top to bottom)

It has not been put in the paper yet and I dont know when it will be put in the paper but Amber Fox has been named the new head coach of the lady patriots.Coach Fox was named head coach monday right before the start of the girls basketball camp.I feel Amber was the right choice for the job and will do great as the coach.Most of our girls played for on jv the last 2 years and all the players like her.Coach Fox is not stranger to the lady patriots basketball program,she was a 3 year varsity player and a member of the 1995 state championship team in which she came off the bench and was named co-mvp.She was also an assistant coach on the 2002 state championship team.Coach fox knows the game of the basketball well,having played for probaly one of the best coaches ever to coach in the state,she has a strong desire to coach and knows how to get the best out of her players.Im exicted to see where the program is headed.
