I've heard that super Walmarts might have it tomorrow, but I've also heard that only in college towns with a big football following, so that obviously counts out Charlotte. Gamestop stores should also have it tomorrow. The 15th that EA is saying takes into account stores like Walmarts in the boonies, Target, and other stores that might get it, but not put it on the shelves for a couple days. It's release date is the 12th, should be in dedicated game stores like EB by tomorrow, and everywhere else by the 15th. I can't afford it right now, so '04 will have to tide me over til I go back to work. I really want to play on xbox live though, dammit. I might round up some old games to trade in for it, I know MVP baseball should be worth a little bit, but I hate to get rid of it.

yeah, like I said, I really don't want to get rid of mvp. I don't want to get rid of anything, but I want NCAA 2005 pretty damn bad. If they hadn't added xbox live, I wouldn't care as much because '04 is one of the best games ever made.

Dynasty is UNC. I always like to be the onee that gets them turned around. Last few versions of NCAA Football its taken me about 3 years to do it.

I have to make the Niners from scratch. That's a challenge. I also usually play Tennessee, and some random West Coast schoolf or fun. If they have the Ivy league schools on there, I might try to play them. Are they even D1?

My buddy picked up his pre-order last night about 8:00 from EB Games. We then proceeded to drink beer and play NCAA until about 6 hours ago. I don't even remember the last two games. It doesn't suck though, the new stadium pulse thing is pretty cool, makes kicking a field goal a real bitch when you can barely hold on to the controller.

as for me, i take the underdogs in dynasty. like brain said, i like to turn a program around.

head to head, i'm usually my volunteers or va tech.

some of the best head to head games i've ever played were me and my brother both as d1aa teams or whatever the hell they are.

I got it at lunch... one of the NICEST features by far is that before you start a season you can move a player... you ever notice how the game makers always mess up at least one or 2 players by putting him in the wrong spot... a LG being made a LT and you're stuck with him there... well you can edit your players now before starting a season and move their spot :xyzthumbs

I don't know yet about during the season... I kinda hope you can move them in the offseason, but not during a season.

I've been hearing that there are framerate issues on the xbox version, anyone with the xbox version can confirm or deny this?

I haven't had any framerate issues with my XBox during play, but there are some stutters before and after the snap. Others have reported huge framerate problems, while some are reporting none. The exact cause of this has yet to be determined. It's been fine for me, the game looks and plays fantastic.

I don't know yet about during the season... I kinda hope you can move them in the offseason, but not during a season.SWEET! I simmed a Season to see the Recruiting... its MUCH more in depth... AND you ever recruit "athletes" You then can choose what position you put them in... furthermore like I was hoping you can change ANYONE'S position before the season. Have too many TE's and not enough fullbacks... make one of your TE's a fullback... and it doesn't matter what year.

perhaps i should rephrase. not many people know how to run all phases of it properly, especially the option pass. if all parts are ran properly, its damn near impossible to stop. i love the option.

Bought it this morning and the Dynasty mode kicks ass like I expected. I like how they added the NCAA violations, players transferring, talking players out of leaving school, and being able to recruit an "athlete" type player and then assign a position to him.

And yeah I wish they would stop messing with the kick meters every year.

possibly the coolest thing that has ever happened to me in a video game, happened the other day. i kick off to open the game, and they proceed to drive the ball down my throat to the 1. stuffed them on the first 3 downs. no-brainer, they kick a field goal right? i mean, its halfway thru the first quarter. hell no. they go for it on 4th and goal, which results in one hellacious goal line stand.

the cpu brain on this one is MUCH more unpredictable than in years before. i love it.

I've found the slowdown in the game. When I play online and the crowd level is high its starts to gag a little. It seems to be more of a latency issue though... at least that's what it seems like to me. You can compensate, but it can be a bitch in a close game.

where did i ever say i hadn't played one? i have friends who have them. i've played them enough to know that while the graphics are great, the controls are so fucked up that i think it sucks. i'm sure it has everything to do with the fact that i have played ps and ps2 since what seems like i was born and could play them with my eyes closed. the xbox controller doesn't feel comfortable to me, and i've given it several chances. still haven't played xbox live like you and cool davew, but i don't see the point in paying $50 PER YEAR for something that a ps2 owner can do for free. i only buy 3 games a year usually, ea sports baseball, ncaa, and madden. so why would i want to pay 1/3 of my yearly game money on online play?
