PS2 or XBOX?

My old PS2 broke, but i'm willin to fix it.

I love Tiger Woods golf, GTA Vice City, and Gran Turismo.


Any advice on which consol to buy?

Best Buy or on Ebay?Got mine at wally world. I've seen the previews for the new one but I'm not sure about the release on XBOX.

supposedly, yes. The Xbox can do most of the games at higher res without affecting framerate too much. I've been thinking about it.

There is also a mod for your xbox that comes in do-it-yourself or they'll send you an already done version that basicly doubles the cpu speed & beefs up the ram. You cant play online with it anymore, but it performs so much better. I guess if you're a super geek you can own both. One for online play and the beefed up one for HDTV play.

XBox won't have the New Grand Theft Auto for awhile, but like others have said, they do have an enhanced box set of both of the PS2 GTA3 games. Xbox is also FAR superior to PS2 when it comes to HD games. You'll have to wait till next console generation when it comes to true HD games, but I think just about every XBox game supports 480i resolution, while more than a handful have 720 and a couple have 1080i.

XBox is also the leader when it comes to sound this generation, as every game has 5.1 support.

Xbox, although there aren't many true HD games out for either system. However, Xbox has far more games in progessive scan output.
