Went to the Seneca Casino in Niagra last week and played on a real money table. was a great experience. Won a little, lost a little, but ended up hitting trip jacks to end the night and came out 16 dollars in the plus. Not too bad for 4 1/2 hours of play. Was a great experience. i have played 7 card stud in a casino before, but first time playing Holdem in the Casino. A lot different than sitting around at a local game or on TruePoker.

Played tonignt and walked out with $114.

Won 3 single tourneys on PartyPoker this week. Up $224 for the week. I won't get into how bad I played on the cash tables though.

I played the $2-$4 table, could have probably moved it up to the 3-6, but i was comfortable where I was. They had all kinds of ranges: 2-4, 3-6, 5-10, 15-30, 50-100, and no limit. They even had a seniors table. I am not sure if it was planned that way or the way ot ended up, but there were 10 people at that one table that all hd o be over 70. Fun atmosphere, can't wait to go back.

Cool, thx for the info. I would definately want to get my feet wet on the lower tables. I think the largest table I have played on is about 7 people (friends) which are a lot easier to read. Getting in a game with 10 people you don't know would be fun, but not easy.

10 people is the biggest benefit to playing hold'em.

It's about $$ odds. If you have the top hand, the more people available to call your bet, the more money you can make. Instead of having 3 people call your bet, you have 5. It's faster, but so much more opportunity to make money, and hold'em is so simple.

I haven't played at a casino in a long time, with the exception of a few hours at the Trop in Atlantic City about 5 years ago. But I used to play at The Mirage in the early 90's.

There is nothing like casino poker. No comparison. It takes time to win consistently, but it is done and done often. 10-20 is the best structure, or was 10 years ago - the most action, best price point to keep out the pros (the killers at least) and cheap enough to bring in the tourists.

Easy (timewise, pot wise) to make $1000 per day at the 10-20.

But, I wouldn't saddle up to one of those again until I had about 100 hours logged at the cheapies to get the rust off.

Alas, it will never happen.

I am actually coming down to Charlotte to play in a freindly game. One of my buddies built a full size table. We should have around 7-8 people playing. The only thing different is that dealer calls the game. No wild crazy games like follow the queen or midnight baseball. It will be all casino type games, but it kind of throws off your strategy switching every so often.

It will be all casino type games, but it kind of throws off your strategy switching every so often.
this isn't fun to me. i prefer the structure of only one game.

Oh, I agree...I would prefer it that way, but there are a couple guys we are playing with that really like to play 5 card and 7 card stud. Most likely after 2 or 3 rounds it will stick to Holdem. Hopefully!

I'm in a 2 table 16 player NL game at a friend's house tomorrow night. I figure if I can make the final table, I'll be happy. Been playing like crap online this week.
