Whoever get moderator, can't we original members have a say who gets in here. Kind of like Survivor! We are getting more and more "of them" every hour!

Nothing against those already nominated - but I think Jazzbluescat is the perfect person for moderator. He's a decent chap and I reckon he'd handle the rigours of the job with an even temper and sound judgement :).

:) Thanks for the vote of confidence, Honeygirl.
Seems like we've got the same ole petty bickering going on among a group of "friends" that are enamoured with themselves and their posts, that, I've noticed, is typical TBR. This was a pretty free forum until talk of moderator came up, then it got mighty "cliquish," IMO, became a control issue.
Ouch! [Sound of getting shot in the foot.]

I don't want to be a mod anymore. Jazz you can have my votes! :xyzthumbs
then it got mighty "cliquish,"
care to elaborate?
I supported York- I don't see that as cliquish. I rarely converse with him and wouldn't know him if he bit me on the butt.
He's asked for months to be a moderator.
He has his own web site so he has the computer and bulletin board knowledge.
He's just crazy enough to make it work.

Doesn't bother me who is the mod, they all hate me the same!

I guess by "cliquish" I'm actually referring to the type of banter/mentality that goes on, rather than a particular group; an inaccurate term on my part, sorry.
It's a bit better here in the Rubber Room, but, I sensed it was wanting to "get out of hand," so to speak, IMO.
York's good, I have no reason to think otherwise.
Moding doesn't require any particular computer skills, nothing that can't be picked up in a few minutes (Unless something new's come down the pike.) It's more about knowing and establishing boundaries.
Doesn't bother me who is the mod, they all hate me the same!
I wouldn't say that. Some people don't 'hate' you- they just don't like you.
