PLEASE POST THE SCORES!!!

I am asking....NO BEGGING, that everyone please post all scores when they become final. Up here in Asheville we usually don't get any of the NW4A scores with the exception of McDowell, and we don't always get those. So please help me out not only with the guys but girls scores as well throughout the year! Thanks!!

WOW! Only 37 points for Freedom boys! That is really stunning. I am sure Providence is a good team, but Freedom must not be what they have been in the past.

I gotta beleive there is a lot of concern at Freedom this season. Scoring 37 points in a game is not a good sign. And Providence is far from the best team in Charlotte. I think that says alot about how weak the NW4A is in boys action.

In your opinon does this mean that maybe East Burke or McDowell takes over the conference this year? I haven't heard much about either of these teams. Give me a little rundown of how you think the NW4A will look at the end of the season. I just don't know much about any of the teams and would like to know a predicted order of finish from some people.

East Burke lost a lot of people also, but Rob Bliss always does well with the little he has to work with. This could be McDowell's year to win the conference, quite a few players return for McDowell but I think they also have some questions that hopefully will be answered tonight. South Caldwell may be the sleeper. Now that football is over, they have their entire crew, look for them to make noise. Here is my prediction for the conference.

McDowell
East Burke
South Caldwell
Freedom
AC Reynolds
Alex. Central
Watauga

Thanks for your input on the other teams. Looks like you don't have a lot of confidence in Freedom this year. I will say that my Rockets are greatly improved from last year, now I am not saying conference contender or anything but they will not be the pushover they have been in the past. New coach and new attitude the boys are playing hard and enjoying the game again. Our new coach has really stressed defense and it has shown early this year. We are very athletic and deep. We could suprise some teams this year, and maybe upset some teams on our home court.

Easily the WORST game yet for the Rockets but somehow found a way to win. The Rockets were winning 11-10 early in the first, next thing you know, midway through the second quarter 32-11 Erwin! ACR could not hit water if they fell out of a boat. Amazingly they didn't quit (unlike last year), and they continued to fight and play defense, and by half ACR was down only 12. The guys played a tough 3rd cutting the lead even more and trailing only by 7 heading into the 4th. The 4th quarter the Rockets hit some key baskets, played tough defense causing several turnovers. Reynolds got the ball with the score tied with 45 seconds left and held for one shot running the clock down and calling timeout with 16 seconds left. After the timeout ACR ran their play to perfection getting a layup from Keith Morgan with 4 seconds left to win the game. Again not the best game from ACR on either end of the floor, but they found a way to win. Something that didn't happen much last year!

I am not much help except I only know that Hickory's boys won over the Cougars to make it a clean sweep of JV and Varsity last night. Hope someone else has score/any details.....sorry, I am as foggy as the weather.
