I came home just a few hrs ago from the championship games at the CVCC tourney and in the 3rd place game was when i arrived... Foard and Newton had to go into overtime after foard came back from being behind 7 and tied it up but lost a close fought game by 1 or 2 points.. The Foard girls squared off once again in a rematch from last years final against the Red Tornadoes of Hickory. The refs took prolly more heat tonight in that game than a jew in an oven. It was a great game and an intense environment with Foard going the majority of 4th quarter without dominique powell. I have to say.. these girls keep getting their backs against the wall and continuously come out fightin. great win girls!:applause: and the boys defending champ the cavs of east burke also defended and retained their supremacy in a 62-58 win over also the Tornadoes of Hickory. John Decker for East Burke had 24 points and led the way down the stretch for Bliss and the Cavs.. Congrats to all who participated in this tourney and I enjoyed watching the games.. they were alot of fun to watch and be a part of.. Once again congrats to the tigers and cavs on BACK-2-BACK tourney championships and see ya in it next year as ya'll try to go for the 3 peat!

the boys title game went to statesville greyhounds as they defeated north iredell by the score of 59 -51. t.j. summers was names the mvp. in the 3rd place game, lake norman pummeled south iredell 70-50.
