that is my plan, but I'm curious to know what it would cost to have somebody (hopefully a Mexican) go at it and get it all done in as short a period of time as possible

I've got a shitty bathroom. It has old pink tile that was painted and some kind of swirly plaster texture on the wall with cheap white tile on the floor. I want to redo the whole thing including replacing the tub.

Come over to my house when your done. I am ripping the shower unit out, drywalling it after I move the water lines to side wall and putting stackable washer and dryer upstairs. garden Tub will have shower curtain go around it with nice size shower nozzle installed

The main problem is that it's my only shower. I can use my friends house for a while but it will be a pain in the ass. Plus once the tub comes out it will be exposed to the crawlspace untill I replace the rotten wood etc. I have to wait until Spring.

Actually I re-did a little cottage a few years ago and it's amazing what one can do when they set their mind to it. I was so determined at that house, I don't think there wasn't anything I didn't attempt, and usually accomplished. I moved rock, took out walls, bricked some stuff, laid some flat rock, chopped up trees, and on and on. Of course I did have a big ol boyfriend at the time, but I worked as hard as he did.

Yeah!! I'm not sure how much those cost, but that would be the real deal there. I wasn't dogging your bathroom, I was just merely stating if it's an older house, and being in a humid environment, there might be some mold and stuff that you don't wanna drag all over the house if you can help it.

My little house I re-did was only about 40 years old at the time and it had some creepy stuff in it. I wish I had kept that little place and rented it, it was sooo cool.

The dumpsters really aren't expensive. A friend payed like 250 or 300 for the biggest one they had when he gutted his house. There isn't even a time limit for how long you can keep it.

Hmmm. Well, I guess I need to gather my possey, (yes I said possey)and schedule a date. We'll need to have matching coveralls, hats, hairbows and gloves of course. It can't be too cold outside. We need good music to be continually playing, no dead, silent gaps. We need eye protection and a nail kit (for our hands) in the event we have a mishap. We'll need beer and various and asundry choices of pep. Fresh coffee is a must and I have to have half n half in mine, splenda no sugar.

Built in tub, single pedestal sink. Tile floor, tub area and lower walls around bathroom and floor. Its plaster board walls with some gay ass swirly texture. That I think will be a bitch. I have to wait for warmer weather and bonus season but I will definiately keep you in mind.
