Catawba is hosting Lenoir-Rhyne, Pfeiffer, and Barton in the Dick Williams Classic tomorrow and Saturday at Newman Park on the Catawba campus. Play is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 1:00 with LR and Pfeiffer playing a doubleheader, but haven't heard if there may be a weather delay. You can tell college baseball season has finally arrived...all of that recent unseasonable weather has turned off cold and rainy. PLAY BALL!!! :applause:

Couldn't make it today :( but hopefully I'll be able to make it tomorrow afternoon after work. I need a baseball fix really bad.

Great afternoon for baseball today at Newman Park. Lenoir-Rhyne took two from Pfeiffer, 10-5 and 4-3. Dennis Downey (Waynesville Tuscola) went the distance for the Bears in Game 2. Jordan Ackley (S. Stokes) hit three bombs and knocked in 5 RBI's for L-R. Taylor MacCurdy (Providence) had a solo shot in Game 1. The Bears play Barton tomorrow at 10:30. Nice start for
