I was wondering, what could possibly be a negative side effect of sticking yourself with a hypodermic syringe that has been kept strerile until you've been stuck. Please, don't ask why I need to know this because I know you don't really want to know.

I know many diabetes patients re use their own needles if that is what you are asking.
Those little tuberculin syringes can be reused if need be, but that is just my personal opinion. I wouldnt say... lay it around uncovered and then reuse it.
The only other couple of negatives I see are after a couple of sticks the needle dulls. A sharp needle is less painful. Secondly, you would never want to mix drugs of any sort and sometimes drugs crystalize after exposure to air. That could be dangerous of course if going IV, but I bet we are talking an intramuscular injection right?
That is a better question for Fred.

Actually, we're not talking about injecting anything. Just being stuck with the needle. Can there be any damage from just uh, "playing" with the needles? Any areas of the body that should be avoided?

what about saline? I know some fellows who injected it into their scrotums for sexual pleasure. There's really not much on the net surprisingly about this fetish. I saw one guy. They were the size of two grapefruits.

No you should never do that. Ive never heard of it and have no idea if it would cause complications, but no, you should never ever do it.

I don't plan to. Well, not me, anyways. :D
the first stick with a sterile needle is safe. But resicking another site can get a bacteria from the skin of the 1st site ..... and so forth.... and you are basically playing russian roulette for some sort of cellulitis.
Geezus Tom. You keep getting more and more unusual! :wtf23:

Pretty soon, I'll have to set myself on fire instead of him.

cellulitis
Builder darlin' - that's all you need to know.
I had cellulitis in my leg last year and actually prayed that God would kill me, save the pain that it caused. It's not a nice `smarts' pain either - it's a nagging, hateful, bone chillin' pain. I still have the scars on my leg.
You know I love you more than air - but if you're going to stick needles in your nuts'n'raisin's - then for God's sake - do it safely and use a fresh one each time or burn the end of it with a lighter first. And if the end part of that sentence takes off into a new fetish - I want some kind of Royalty deal or it to be named after me...i.e. "the Flamin' Honey' :liplick:.

I have an ungodly fear of needles. It's why it took me ages to get my piercing. I know others that do this sort of thing though. So I was just wondering what it could do to a person. Don't worry, I have no intentions.

I'm sorry I sounded like Mother Hen on speed :(. I'm glad you don't fancy needles, but if your friends do - and have a go at the lighter trick...will you encourage the `Flamin' Honey' idea? You know you've made it when A) Muff uses you in a sig and B) A dangerous Fetish is named after you. Heh :smoke:.

i would so love to talk to you some time.

i would so love to talk to you some time.No ketones yet, thank goodness. Still VERY frustrating to see your child go through this and know you can't make it go away.
:(
We need to talk soon. It really helps knowing there's a parent going through the same thing.
