...to have them draw blood for a cholesterol check and a liver check because I'm taking some Lamisil tablets. When I told them I am self pay they only charged me $16.00. If I would have had insurance lord only knows what I would have been charged. If I would have had Ins. the nurse would have done a blood pressure check but she ixnayed that. I didn't need one, I had had one two weeks ago. This is another reason health care is to high, unnecessary exams and charges just because someone is insured. If it ain't the Health Insurance companies screwing you it's Doc's and Hospitals always trying to make an unnecessary buck.
Don't even start about high dollar operations, etc. It's the same deal only more. Some doc walks by your room and pokes his head in the door and you get a bill for a thousand dollars.

I agree- it is the docs and hospitals that drive up the costs of healthcare. But hospitals have to because folks with insurance have to help pay for those that come in and don't have insurance. MD's do it to pay sky-high malpractice insurance fees.
