Microsoft Essentials with XP

    i have an older desktop that still has XP .. last year i downloaded Microsoft Essentials but never ran it ... today i was going to do a scan but when i clicked to run it all i saw was a blip of the screen and it was gone....Microsoft says it will run using XP .. even though support for XP ends around April 8.. does anyone have any idea why i see the program in the program files.. and on the start menu buyt it wont run ?

    If you are talking about Microsoft security essentials, it should run on XP. However since microsoft won't be releasing any security updates for xp it really doesnt matter if it runs or not.
