"Smith lost prime seasons at age 25 (broken leg), 30 (Delhomme PTSD), and 31 (Clausen/Moore dumpster fire)."

I'm still chuckling over this line. "PTSD" and ""dumpster fire"- you've got to admit that he nailed it.

The numbers in the article are eye opening, but that's not what defines his career to me. One day far into the future when I take my grandkids to see the Panthers play at BOA. I'll take them to look at the statue of Steve Smith, try to explain what his competitive spirit meant to the team, and probably tear up just a little. I can't say that about any other Panther.

It's hard for me to get past him being a bitch and sucker-punching two teammates. I don't care about fights, but sucker-punching is for bitches.

I'm a raging lunatic who has fought plenty of people but I never sucked-punched anyone. I've been sucker-punched and then had the little bitch run away.

I don't think anyone thinks Steve Smith is a bitch. And we weren't there, and I think that term sucker punch gets thrown around loosely.

I think he's guilty of hitting first. Not a sucker punch.

The Bright incident is a little murky (though I believe he paid a settlement) but every report of the Lucas thing says they were jawing at practice and Lucas was kneeling down to rest when Smith blindsided him. Smith isn't a bitch but evidence indicates he fights like one.

Anyway, it's gotten old talking about it.

I'd rather Cam stop throwing interceptions, rather than bitching about how Steve Smith fights.
