    Does he deserve Andy Dalton money? Kaepernick money?

    Of the 32 starting QB's in the NFL, where would you rank him?

    Dalton doesn't get big money until year three. He averages 12 mil a year for the first 2 years. Thats about what Smith deserves

    No it isn't. The last three years he's been a caretaker of very talented teams. You said "ballpark", so somewhere in that 15-20 range is about where he belongs. I say 20th because he was god awful before Jim Harbaugh showed up.

    Before you form a rebuttal, note that in his career Smith has been benched by teams more than he's led teams to playoff births. That automatically disqualifies him from upper echelon status.

    Smith's stats over his last 40 games:

    30-9-1 record
    53 TD's
    17 Ints

    His early years made him the QB he is today. He should have been holding a clipboard during those years.
