This franchise is run by fucking idiots.

So, what do you do now, Jerry ? We basically must now sit Hardy (WITH pay), until after his jury trial (which I hear might not be until next year ?).
If we play him before that, the media will crucify you.
Also, since this is a TEAM suspension, do these missed games even count towards a league suspension IF he is later found guilty ?

You might as well just cut him now.

Cant wait until father time forces Jerry to sell.

Jerry cant take the heat that the media was putting on him . As soon as they deactivate him they started praising him which he is more comfortable with.

He seemed fine when the few outlets that don't bow to the NFL pointed out that he bilked the taxpayers out of millions for more adspace on the scoreboards

Wonder if the Panthers were given a heads up by the league that a suspension for Hardy was imminent (meeting w lawyer?) and given a chance to look "good" by making him inactive before the suspension officially announced?

Thanks for putting a smile on my face by reminding me that I told everyone that would be what he did with the money. I am so awesome.

I can't imagine that the NFL will do a suspension until after the jury trial plays out because it would open up a huge can of worms where players can sue the league for damages if they get a not guilty verdict. More likely the team checked with the NFL to see if declaring him inactive now will count against a future suspension and I assume the league approved that.
