Mark Barron?
From today's Observer... "As it turned out, the Panthers were set to draft Alabama safety Mark Barron at 9 – another indication of how little faith they have in Sherrod Martin after his disappointing 2011 season. Would have been a reach IMO. Obviously Barron can prove to be superb, but I don' think he's at the level of a Polomalu and isn't as dynamic as Eric Berry or Earl Thomas even two safeties drafted in similar spots.

What? After all the safeties they already signed? Unless the plan involved eating that giant contract Marty gave to Godfrey, that would have been a stupid pick.

Seattle supposedly had Barron and Keuchly as the top 2 defensive players on their board...
Having said that, glad TB took him and we "settled" for Luke K
