well, by mention of his 3-4 experience it wasn't to imply that we would be switching, at least not this coming season. however, if that becomes a viable direction the team takes eventually, then he has successfully ran that as well.

i'm sure ryan, since there's talk of him being dc, has similar experience with both, but i guess i'm only recalling his 3-4 stints of recent seasons.

If I remember correctly, he didn't even call plays in Phili, and he aiienated players.

I thought I read somewhere that Fewell had a 2nd one as well, I may be wrong, but certainly sounds like Rivera is in the lead as the first 4 candidates go. Not sure who else they want to talk with that was still in the playoffs before this past weekend.

Hurney is clinging to his fantasies, big surprise.

As we hear it being spun now Clausen was not in a system that was conducive to his success, yet at the time he was drafted a large amount of justification for taking him was that he was ahead of the rookie game because he'd been in our system? Gobbledygook.

Man I want Hurney to hit the bricks.

well, one thing is true in all that. He had Rip Scherer, and that man was as awful as awful gets. He is a fucking bane to quarterbacks, a hack, and having Jeff Davidson didn't do any better.

I actually agree with that sentiment. However, we've seen that Clausen is scared in the pocket, and has no awareness. He can throw a nice ball, and has some overall accuracy, but he's not a pro quarterback. And in college, and now in the pros, this kid can't win games.

He's basically admitting his own incompetence, since he signed off on the hires.

I guess I need to start a Hurney rant thread.

Getting back to Rivera, probably the best we could expect and I'm good with it.
