Is Rivera elite?

 

Only Belichick and Carroll probably have more wins the last three years (anyone else?). 36 and 35 respectively, don't look now but Rivera has 34. Marvin Lewis has been very consistent and is up there. Do people think of him as elite?

You can't be elite without winning a title. Yet having a title doesn't make you elite. But he is on track. I think his overall leadership skills are pretty darned strong.

On the subject of coaches I have been really impressed with this staff and not just this year. Position coaches are killing it. Wilkes and Matsko in particular, when you look at the over the hill and UDFAs they are given to work with.

In any event, I am not voting until the Super Bowl is decided.

edit: I do think he's the best HC we have had.

 

There are no elite coaches.

 

Rivera is a great fit for this particular roster.

I'm delighted with the fact that he gets the team to play their best in December.

 

The players certainly think he and all the rest are.

In aggregate, Rivera and the entire staff appear to be.

A SB win, as well as continued similar success would suggest he and them are elite.

But as of right now, the jury's still way out.

I'm happy with them though.
