Eh, QBs peak later than other positions. Eli Manning didn't become competent until his fifth season. It is frustrating to watch a talent make the same mistakes, but don't lose hope.

Mike Shula is much worse than Davidson, or any offensive coordinator who's ever worked here.

I didn't even realize this was an old thread until I hit my own posts.

Bringing back Chud would make the most sense from a continuity standpoint, but you have to wonder if Chud would even want to come back after getting shat on by everyone.

Either way, this has to be addressed. Should have been addressed last year. Shula's offense is the reason why Carolina didn't win home field advantage and likely a Super Bowl in 2013.

    Smith was it, wasn't he?

Maybe that's why Gettleman was pissed. Maybe he tried to get him back, but he said fuck that shit because Smitty was still there. (Im not being serious)

I'd just prefer someone stable, who wants to maximize the player strengths. Chud wasn't that, but he had some high points for sure.

No, that's exactly what Chud was. He knew how to properly utilize Cam and Steve Smith. He understood that Greg Olsen shouldn't be confined to pass blocker on third down. He was a highly qualified and competent offensive coordinator.

it should be noted that if our QB who can't speak coherent sentences throws better, we score a lot more points.

Cam Newton isn't an NFL caliber QB. He is no better than Geno fucking SMith, yet he gets away with murder.

Well, he'd certainly be a fucking upgrade.
