we will take the carolina bashing for now. but wait till my boys blue and boyd have time to get some games in.

2009 - rehab (Blue - acl, mcl, pcl tears and reconstruction)
2010 - bowl
2011 - bowl/bcs challengers
2012 - everything

(and for the record - its pronounced JER-a-knee)

IDK. I think Blue is gonna be a good player, but that "diesel package" never did much of anything except for the one time when he threw the ball.

There is an chance that Blue will not be a Tar Heel next year.

yeah, probably - his mom didnt give any indication of that when i talked to her at the game friday, nor did any of the coaches when we were talking about him and j boyd.

give him a chance. he only had about 3 or 4 plays and they were adding some as the season went along.

I did not intend to ruffle any feathers in Gaston County and I hope what I am hearing is wrong. I saw the young man play in high school and he is a talented athlete. I trust that he is keeping his academics in line and if so he can help the program in the future.

North Carolina (6) went straight blueberry on Oct. 22 against Florida State with navy blue pants and jerseys. Dash reaction: Liked it. A lot. When you're as light on tradition as the Tar Heels, who are you going to offend by switching up the look?

I read somewhere that the Carolina football team wore navy blue a hundred years ago, so it's actually not even a new idea. I don't understand why some people are against it.

UNC light on tradition? I kinda figured they were pretty well known for the "Carolina" blue.

I can see why people get upset. I know Georgia fans who were pretty damned pissed when they came out with black helmets against Florida. Their stance was basicly "What's this gimmicky bullshit?"

I think he was talking about football more than the color. JMO.

I just think they have plenty of tradition despite it not being basketball. They have been playing football since 1888.

I agree, it's just that baby blue isn't a very good, you know, intimidating, color for football. Maybe the darker blue works for them, I dunno.

I don't think the color of a uniform has ever lost or won a game. For anybody.

I would say that when Va Tech wears that combo of moroon and orange, it's going to at least unsettle some stomachs.
