I hope you never have your body thrown through every door and wall of your house, have cans of food whipped full force at your head, glass busted over any part of your body, your possessions destroyed because you could not sleep or were watching a show that the abuser did not like,. I hope you never learn to sleep with one eye open because you never know if you have done something that will cause the abuser to attack you wile you sleep. I hope you never get forced to have sex because if you don't you will be choked or have bones broken. I hope that you can eat when and what you want and never have to live in fear that your food will be crammed down your throat or that boiling water will be dumped in your lap because the abuser is not happy. I hope you never get chained to a bed or anything else for extended periods of time wile the abuser is at work or out with friends. I hope your children do not huddle in their closet because Daddy is beating Mommy again or Mommy is beating Daddy again. I hope your animals live long happy lives and do not end up dead or tortured because you pissed off the abuser. The list goes on but I hope this gets the point across that this is not a joke nor is it anything to poke fun at. Many people live like this. You may never know because those being abused are a master at hiding bruises and cuts. They are a master at smiling and letting the world think that everything is okay. They have to be because if not they or someone they love could end up dead. They no longer feel like they can do anything about the situation. The abuser will brain wash them into thinking that they are nothing and worthless and that they somehow deserve this kind of treatment. It could be your Mom, Daughter, Son or Father. As you go to sleep tonight I hope you do so with a clear conscience knowing that this could be happening to a loved one or a close friend and you are making jokes about it!
