I'm hardened by some of the board personas here and I've seen much worse from them. However- knowing some of them in person, I know they're truly kind people and even almost too tender hearted. I know that. I have read much worse from some on here as well. I am sure most on here are great in person but this is one topic,no matter where you are talking about it or what your online persona is,that should not be made a joke of. I can be the worst when it comes to sick and twisted thoughts and putting them into my online persona so I know he was only kidding around but to be honest what he wrote is an excuse a lot of abusers use for beating someone. It kind of hit a nerve because that is what my abuser tried and almost succeeded at convincing me of. It goes along with making the victim feel worthless and making them feel like they deserve to be beat.

Look, if you're getting your face beat in by your man, it means that you're mentally unbalanced to begin with. That's what abusive relationships are - two unhealthy people enabling each other. There are things in this world that deserve much more sympathy.
